My first commission

My first commission ‘Poppies’ 2004. came about when the commissioner was disappointed to see another piece called ‘Field of Poppies’ was sold.

My first piece in plaster & paint

This piece entitled simply Nude 2003 was the first I ever completed, framed and behind glass. Later on other work, I did away with the use of glass, as it was too heavy with the plaster. This piece will never be for sale and hangs in my hall to remind me of the beginning.

My first piece exhibted

This piece ‘Sunflowers’ was one of the first I exhibited. Ten artists took part in a group exhibition called Art Uncovered in 2003. A successful exhibition, I sold this piece and four others, spurring me on to do more.
